Yes, sometimes I really think it's actually the yellow brick road, going in all directions with detours and nasty witches and monkeys trying to get you. But finally getting there and making all your dreams come true makes the trip worth while.
My friend
Leigh Duncan is celebrating her debut release,
The Officers Girl over at
Everybody Needs a little Romance. Leave a comment and you could win a copy of the book.
Leigh is also going to be right here in Tallahassee at my local Books-a-Million signing copies of her book on May 2 from 2-4 pm. She's also graciously agreed to give a workshop to my local RWA chapter
Florida Panhandle Romance Writers at our monthly meeting on June 12. If you're local (or not so local) and want to write, are considering writing or just love romance, consider joining our group. We have a blast! Here's a short blurb on Leigh's workshop:
The Once and Future Author, is an inspiring look at the long road to publication and the shortcuts Leigh found helpful in achieving her goals. In her workshop, Leigh shares the ways her life has changed since “the call” and shows why it’s never too late to pursue your dreams.
